Home for the Night is a short-term homeless shelter located in Frankfort, Indiana that can house up to 10 individuals. We have been in operation since November of 2021 and are currently located at 1100 Walnut Avenue. The purpose of Home for the Night is to give individuals a hand up during their time of need.
If you know of someone who needs shelter, they can stop by the Center Township office at 250 Alhambra Avenue. If a person is approved, they will be given a “road map” of steps to follow based on their specific goals and they will also complete “wrap-around” services. Center Township staff work with local organizations to help our individuals to find employment, apply for food stamps or insurance and to find housing.
There is an opportunity for the community to help. If an individual, church or organization would like to support Home for the Night, the following items can be donated: non-perishable food that can be microwaved, breakfast bars, paper products such as toilet paper, paper towels and bottled water. We also accept and appreciate monetary donations to help with the daily operation of our shelter. Checks can be mailed to: Center Township, c/o Home for the Night, 250 Alhambra Avenue, Frankfort, IN 46041, made payable to: Home for the Night.
If you have any questions or want to be involved, please contact Center Township of Clinton County at 765-357-9100 or email Jami Pratt at jpratt@centertownshipofclintoncounty.com.
